    The Windows keyboard shortcut Ctrl T will perform the New Tab action. The New Tab keyboard shortcut is only available in applications that support tabs. When available, New Tab is usually located in the File menu. This keyboard shortcut for New Tab is available in Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. The same keyboard shortcut may also be available with other versions of Windows.

    Example: Press Ctrl T to open a new tab in your web browser.
